The Sunrisers Hyderabad were up against Kings XI Punjab in the match 19 of the season. Skipper David Warner played a thunderous 70 at the top order to take Sunrisers to 159/6 in their 20 overs. He did not find any support from the other players. In the run chase, Kings XI had a horrid run as they had succumbed to a scored of 82/6 in 13.4 overs. Just when people thought KXIP were out of the equation, Manan Vohra got his team back to the scheme of things.

Vohra displayed some great hitting to take KXIP to a striking distance of a win. With 16 runs needed off the final two overs, the match was well within their reach. Vohra, who had taken Rashid Khan for 20 runs in one of the overs, was on 95. However, his dismissal in the penultimate over saw the 9th wicket going down. 11 was needed off the last over and Ishant Sharma could not hold the fort with Siddharth Kaul shattering his stumps. Vohra had scored 95 off 50 balls with 9 fours and 5 sixes.
