IPL 2018: Brendon McCullum praises Moeen Ali's bowling; the latter's reply is hilarious

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have somehow kept themselves alive in the tournament with a resounding win over Delhi Daredevils (DD) a couple of days ago. Despite the on-field performances not being up to the mark, the bonding between the players in the team is strong and they enjoy each other’s company to the fullest. Moreover, the victory in the game brings the team closer as well. In such a similar instance, Brendon McCullum was happy after the team’s win and went on praise Moeen Ali for his bowling only to spark a hilarious conversation between them.

Moeen Ali has just played a couple of matches this season but has made an impact with the ball almost immediately. His economical 4 overs against Delhi at Feroz Shah Kotla were crucial given the circumstances and he also opened the innings for his team. Though he didn’t do much with the bat and will be itching to come good desperately in the remaining games.

Brendon McCullum was thrilled AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli steered RCB to victory and kept themselves alive in the tournament and believed that they can still go through to the knockouts. He posted the message on his official Twitter handle and also praised the bowling of Moeen Ali saying, “Top win from our @RCBTweets boys last night. Never say never in the @IPL. We have to do it the hard way but why not…@MoeenAli I like your bowling Sir.” However, Ali’s response to the message was hilarious as he asked if he was paid by someone to praise him.

McCullum also replied positively to his question which has left the die-hard RCB fans gushing over it ahead of their game against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). The team is currently in Indore and must be training hard to notch up a win over R Ashwin and his men on Monday.
