Form-wise, this should be more of a mismatch. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), despite the absence of their hard-hitting regular captain David Warner, are sitting at the top of the points table in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 with 12 points from 8 games.

Delhi Daredevils (DD) are also without their original captain Gautam Gambhir who left the duty midway after the team struggled and was replaced by Shreyas Iyer who has done a comparatively better job. But yet, DD are languishing at the sixth position with just 6 points from 9 games and only a miracle can take them through to the playoffs from here.

Nevertheless, the two team’s first encounter at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium (RGICS) in Hyderabad on Saturday, May 5, is expected to be a contest between the SRH bowlers and DD batsmen.

SRH and DD have locked horns 10 times since the Hyderabad-based franchise made their debut in the IPL in 2013. SRH once led 4-0 but DD pulled things back since 2015 to trail 4-6 at the moment.
