KXIP went into this game in the absence of Mujeeb Ur Rahman. His absence affected them a great deal as Tye was the lone warrior in their bowling line up. He bowled brilliantly but his efforts weren’t enough to see his side through.

MI scored 186 in the first innings. If we remove Andrew Tye’s overs, they scored 170 of the other 16 overs in the game showing how crucial his spell was. Tye picked the wickets of dangerous batsmen like Suryakumar Yadav, Evin Lewis, Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya. However, he didn’t get much of support from the other bowlers.

KL Rahul was the lone warrior in their batting line up. He scored 94 off 60 on a difficult track but his side fell short by 3 runs. Had Tye got some better support from the other bowlers, KXIP could have easily won this game.
