IPL 2018: Kings XI Punjab – Approaching Milestones

Kings XI Punjab will be taking the field in the 2018 season under their new skipper Ravichandran Ashwin, who is one of the two captains in this season to lead an IPL team for the first time. The franchise brought back the local boy Yuvraj Singh for his base price in the auctions. With some smart overseas signings, KXIP stands among the title favourites and will hope to end their 10-year drought for an IPL title.

IPL milestones:

294 – Number of fours for Chris Gayle in the IPL. He needs to hit six more fours to complete 300 boundary fours in the league.

93 – Number of matches Manoj Tiwary played in the IPL so far. He needs to feature in seven more games to complete 100 IPL appearances.

894 – Runs Yuvraj Singh scored for Kings XI Punjab during his first stint between 2008 and 2010. He needs 106 more runs to complete 1000 IPL runs for KXIP.

Twenty20 milestones:

196 – Number of matches Ravichandran Ashwin featured in the Twenty20 format. He needs to feature in four more matches for completing 200 Twenty20s as a player.

250 – KXIP’s overseas batsmen Aaron Finch (249 T20 sixes) and David Miller (241 T20 sixes) nearing 250 sixes in the T20 format. Finch needs to hit one more six for the milestone while Miller needs nine more maximums.

1869 – Karun Nair needs 131 more runs for completing 2000 runs in this format. Nair also needs two more fours for completing 200 Twenty20 boundary fours.

100 – Karun Nair (90 matches) and Axar Patel (92 matches) are ten and eight T20s respectively away from completing 100 appearances in the Twenty20 format. The left-arm spinner needs 46 more runs for completing 1000 runs and 11 wickets away from completing 100 wickets in this format.

Professional career milestones:

287 – Mohit Sharma (287 wickets) and Axar Patel (293 wickets) need 13 and seven wickets respectively for completing 300 wickets in professional cricket.

8000 – Karnataka’s Karun Nair (7925 runs) and Mayank Agarwal (7830 runs) are nearing 8000 runs in professional cricket. Nair needs 75 more runs while Mayank needs to score 170 more runs.

25886 – Runs Yuvraj Singh aggregated in his professional career so far. He needs 114 more runs for completing 26000 in professional cricket. Aaron Finch (16645 runs) also need 355 more runs for completing 17000 runs across all formats.
