The trio of Australian cricketers who were involved in this whole ball-tampering saga, former skipper Steve Smith, his deputy David Warner and Cameron Bancroft have gone through a lot of painful and disastrous moments following their improper act on the cricket field. Both Warner and Smith have been reprimanded with a one-year ban each, while Bancroft has been handed a nine-month ban by Cricket Australia (CA).

Former Australian skipper Smith confronted the media yesterday, following his arrival at the Sydney airport and admitted the entire responsibility upon himself for all the mistakes committed by the players under his leadership and knowledge.

During his press conference at the Sydney airport, Smith while speaking to the media suffered a natural breakdown and tears started dropping from his eyes because of the remorse and pain, he was feeling dreadful. Bancroft who was just featured in his 8th Test match committed such a false act of ball-tampering during the third day of the Test match against South Africa, also confronted the media in Perth and apologized for all his foolish activities.

Even, the former Australian vice-captain Warner who would not be considered for any leadership role for his country further, stated that this mistake has damaged the entire game and will be appearing in front of the whole people in the coming days.

People will certainly feel for them after their apology: R Ashwin

The whole cricket fraternity was left in a state of sympathy and sorrow as all the three Australian cricketers pleaded a very touch apology to the all local people in Australia, the millions of cricket fans and the rest of the world, who were surely seeking an answer from the trio. Veteran Indian spinner R Ashwin also voiced his opinion on the painful confessions made by these punished cricketers. He hopes that the people whom they were answerable regarding these incidents have already seen them guilty for there mistakes and they will forgive these three.

“The world simply wants to see you cry, once you have cried they will feel satisfied and live happily ever after. If only Empathy was not just a Word and people still had it. God give @stevesmith49 and Bancroft all the strength to come out of this. And @davidwarner31 will also need the strength to fight it out, hopefully, their player’s union will provide them with all the support” wrote Ashwin on Twitter.
