IPL 2018: Kolkata Knight Riders launch their anthem 'KKR hai Taiyaar'

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is at its cusp as it enters into the second decade after finding much successful and creating a rich history of last ten years. At the turn of the decade when all eight original franchise return to the fore, the excitement among the fans is a delight to watch. To add to the zeal, each franchise is trying to get their fan base stronger as they bid to get their fans behind the team by introducing their new anthems and slogans ahead of the new season.

Kolkata Knight Riders, a franchise that enjoyed glory twice in the first decade is not just a team but courtesy their stupendous fan support, is a force to reckon with. The Bollywood attraction of the co-owner Shah Rukh Khan, being in the mix of things makes KKR a formidable franchise in every season of the league. Even this year, the Men in Purple have come up with something new as they launch their new anthem.

‘KKR Hai Taiyaar’

The team from Kolkata was popularly recognized by many with their anthem of ‘Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo’ thus far in the tournament. Gautam Gambhir led the side twice to glory in seven successful years before he parted ways with the franchise for the upcoming season.

Now when a seasoned campaigner in Dinesh Karthik joins the franchise and has been designated to lead them, the team is ready to earn its new identity courtesy a new anthem that is already being embraced by many who matter. With a tagline of ‘KKR Hai Taiyaar’, and riding on the expectations of their supporters, the Purple army feels ready to face the challenge that lies ahead of them.

Kolkata kick-start their campaign in IPL 11 with a home encounter against the Virat Kohli led-Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 8.
