IPL 2018: Kumar Sangakkara and Mayanti Langer indulge in friendly banter

The eleventh edition of the Indian Premier League was the biggest and the most exciting one. Since the day Star Sports had acquired the media rights for the IPL, it has transformed the outlook of the IPL. The introduction of Star Sports Select dugout is one of the new additions to the IPL where expert analysis is done with commentary throughout the course of the match.

Former cricketers Kumar Sangakkara, Scott Styris and Graeme Smith are few of the experts who were seen in the Select Dugout show. Mayanti Langer, sports anchor was the host for these shows before and after the matches. She has become one of the prominent figures in the world of cricket and is often seen anchoring big cricket tournaments in India. She is known for her knowledge of the game and the way she carries the shows.

A season to remember

As always, Mayanti did a great job in the VIVO IPL 2018 and former cricketer Kumar Sangakkara appreciated for the work that she had put in making the show a successful one. Sanga took to Twitter to tell her how amazing she was and also added that he learnt a lot from her. He tweeted: “@MayantiLanger_B you are outstanding. Mayanti acknowledged Sanga’s words and gave a perfect reply to the legendary cricketer. She was honoured to share the platform with Sangakkara and praised him for being calm during chaos. She wrote: “Thank you Sanga for such kind words. @KumarSanga2 you were the calm in the chaos, it was an honour.”

The big extravaganza is finally over and the Chennai Super Kings won their third IPL title. They were looking strong right from the start and skipper Dhoni’s smart tactics ensured that the yellow army had a season to remember.
