IPL 2018: Match 15, RR vs KKR – Weather Forecast
Will it be yet another curtailed game?
Updated - Apr 18, 2018 1:25 pm
The Indian Premier League (IPL) is moving fast and the 15th game of the season will be played between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Kolkata Night Riders (KKR) in Jaipur. Sawai Mansingh Stadium has always been a happy place to play cricket for the Royals and they would be hoping to continue their juggernaut after marking their successful return at the venue last week. However, much like the last game in the city will the heavenly gods ruin the interest in the game and make it a curtailed one?
Ajinkya Rahane has slowly got himself going into his captaincy role and his confidence must have boosted after a brilliant win over RCB in their own den. Royals are expected to reign supreme at their fortress and it is KKR who have to think different and make it tough for their opponents tonight. Dinesh Karthik, on the other hand, is still figuring out the ways to separate captaincy from his batting in order to flourish in both the departments as the tournament progresses.
Will rain mark its presence?
According to Accu Weather, there are no chances of rain in Jaipur as the summer season is at its peak in India. Currently, the temperatures are hovering around 38 Degree Celsius and it is extremely hot. It will also touch 40 Degree Celsius by 4 PM as the players will take the field to warm-up ahead of the game. Even dew is also not expected to play its part courtesy the hot weather which will decrease only a bit by the time the match starts.
It will be hazy throughout the duration of the game and the high-scoring game is expected on a flat wicket with some of the star local and overseas players set to take the stage.
Overall Verdict: A full game of 40 overs will take place and the fans will enjoy the run-fest unlike the last match at the venue when the second innings was curtailed to 6 overs.
