The game between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Daredevils was a tale of two magnificent knocks produced by AB de Villiers and Rishabh Pant. On a turning track, Pant scored a 48-ball 85 to push his team’s total to 174/5. AB de Villiers nearly chased down the target on his own as he scored an unbeaten 39-ball 90 to see his team through with two overs and six wickets to spare. The home team registered their 2nd win of the tournament with help of this special knock.

AB de Villiers’ approach in the chase was clear from the first ball he faced as he began with consecutive boundaries. The South African hit a total of ten fours during his innings and five maximums including the biggest of the tournament. His knock was valued at 1.05 crore as per the CricTracker’s player value algorithm. De Villiers’ knock was 1.34 times his average match salary as he was retained by RCB for 11 crores. Shahbaz Nadeem and Gautam Gambhir stood out for the liable player of the game tag but the left-arm spinner edge over his skipper due to the price he gained in the auctions.

While Jason Roy and Gautam Gambhir got out after struggling to score runs, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant played with ease. Iyer scored hit four fours and three sixes during his 31-ball 52 which was valued at 57 lakhs. Pant unleashed his hitting in the death overs scored 49 runs in the last 18 balls he played. His knock included six fours and seven maximums. Pant’s knock was valued at 97.475 lakhs as per the CT’s algorithm.

The player with the highest value for RCB after AB de Villiers is Virat Kohli, who gained 32 lakhs for his 30-run innings that was ended by a blinder from Trent Boult. Yuzvendra Chahal’s two wickets earned him a value of 30 lakhs but didn’t get a chance to bowl his 4th over with Pant going bonkers at the end. Manan Vohra had the lowest contribution towards the RCB’s win as he made only two runs before getting out in the 2nd over of the chase.
