The chinks in Chennai Super Kings’ armour are slowly and gradually out in the open after the team got off to a dream start in the tournament. Of late the two-time IPL champions are struggling crucial moments as the lack in bowling depth has prevented them from defending totals.

CSK just got away defending 200+ totals twice but never looked in control while they had anything below 180 in the account. The Royal Challengers Bangalore, on the other hand, managed a much-needed win against Mumbai Indians that too while defended with the required rate under 12 an over in the final 3-4 overs which has otherwise been a concern for them the season.

724Virat Kohli is the only player to score more than 650 runs against Chennai Super Kings in the history of the tournament. He has scored 724 runs in 20 IPL innings maintaining an amazing average of 42.58 on the back of six fifties.


3935 – Runs Suresh Raina has scored in the IPL while representing the Chennai Super Kings. He needs 65 more runs to become the first player to record 4000 IPL runs for CSK.


9946 – Ravindra Jadeja has scored 9946 runs in his professional career so far. He needs 54 more runs to complete 10000 runs across all formats.
