The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has been one of the most consistent teams in the eleventh edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Quite expectantly, overhauling them has turned out to be an uphill task for the oppositions. Their next rival is the Rajasthan Royals (RR) who haven’t been in the best of forms having won four out of their ten matches in the championship.
Rajasthan has been exceptional in patches, but haven’t been able to replicate their performances enough to stay atop the points table. However, they still have the opportunity to soar above expectations and make their way into the top four. The franchise brushed aside the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) who have a formidable lineup as well in their ranks and that is expected to keep them in good stead.
The venue for the next game is the Sawai Mansingh in Jaipur, which assisted the slower bowlers to a large extent. Both teams aren’t devoid of resources as far as the slower bowlers are concerned. Ajinkya Rahane’s men drooped in their last game against CSK in Pune and they would want to make amends by turning over the Yellow Army in their own backyard.
Bleak chances of rain
As per AccuWeather, there are no chances of rain throughout the day. The temperature will hover around 33 degrees Celsius to 37 degrees Celsius during the course of the match. The humidity is expected to be on the lower side with the numbers from 12 percent to 19 percent. A fair amount of cloud cover might be there, but they are highly unlike to play spoilsport.
Overall verdict
The dew factor might come into play as the game progresses. Therefore, the teams might elect to field first. However, last time around the Royals’ spinners got assistance from the wickets while defending a target. Therefore, both captains need to assess the conditions prior to the game and take an appropriate decision.
