The defending champions Mumbai Indians stand at the brink of elimination in the league stage as they face Kings XI Punjab in a do-or-match. Mumbai have underperformed this season especially at their fortress where they lost four of the six matches thus far. If they lose to KXIP in the 13th game, they will be officially knocked out of the competition. Kings XI, on the other hand, lost five of their last six matches and made their top four finish tough. A win against MI will make KXIP’s passage easier instead of reliance on other results.
