Sandeep Lamichhane has been deemed to be a bright prospect for Nepal cricket. He had duly been rewarded for his stupendous performances and was roped in by the Delhi Daredevils (DD) at his base price of INR 20 lakh for the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). However, he hasn’t had much to do in the tournament and is yet to make his debut in the mega event.
The leg-spinner might not be in action, however, he is making full utilization of the time. The Daredevils locked horns with the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi. Shane Warne, the mentor of the Royals, was also at the venue. Lamichhane didn’t miss out on the opportunity to meet Warne. Subsequently, he took to Twitter and posted a picture of theirs with a message which read: “Nothing could be better than to meet your IDOL ! @ShaneWarne , Legend !!!”

A tough journey ahead for Delhi
Delhi have had a rough season thus far and have only won three out of their nine contests. However, they have shown some decent form in their last three games, which comes as a breather for them. They replaced Gautam Gambhir with Shreyas Iyer as the captain and the decision has paid off handsomely as they have already managed a couple of wins under their newly appointed skipper.
The franchise will play their next game against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Their top order has struck form in the last three games and they would be required to deliver the same performance in order for them to progress in the league. With five matches remaining, Delhi can’t afford another mishap as it can pull down the curtains on their campaign.
