Quinton de Kock was another leading scorer for the Delhi Daredevils in 2016. He provided the team with great starts almost every game and played an important role in the team. In that season, he has scored 445 runs in 13 games at an average of 37. However, he missed the 2017 season due to a finger injury.

In 2018, Delhi had a chance to retain this Proteas wicket-keeper batsman. However, they opted not to retain him which could have proved to be a costly miss for the team. QDK could have been the perfect fit in the DD line up where he could have provided a good start for the team for the pinch hitters to take it on later. In the 8 games he played for RCB this season, de Kock has scored 201 runs with a strike rate of 124.
