The only team to be knocked out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season currently is Delhi Daredevils (DD) who have failed to play to their potential. They tried revamping their squad in the auction this year and have failed miserably despite having some of the best players. The franchise also brought back their local player Gautam Gambhir but even he failed to lead from the front and also resigned from captaincy midway through the tournament. However, it seems that the team is in high spirits despite losing consistently and is enjoying together.
Trent Boult has been one of the top performers for them this year and at one stage had bagged the purple cap for having most wickets in the tournament. Unfortunately, the other overseas players have failed to replicate him which has not worked in favour of the team even as the youngsters like Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw and the new skipper Shreyas Iyer have time and again bailed the team out of the trouble.
Boult enjoying singing
It is very important from team’s perspective that the environment within the dressing room should be pleasant doesn’t matter what happens on the field. Delhi has so far won only 3 matches after playing 12 this season and now have no chances of making it to the playoffs this year. They are already thinking of next season and are building the team keeping it in the mind.
The team is also enjoying together off the field as their ace pacer Trent Boult was seen singing a song. The official Twitter handle of Delhi posted the image of the same as the fans were excited to know more details about the new skill of the Kiwi cricketer. Boult has been exceptional so far with the new cherry in hand and has picked 15 wickets in 12 matches but has been expensive at times as well. He would be eager to end the season on a high and the team will also like to get some wins under their belt.
