The Royal Challengers Bangalore registered a thumping win over the Kings XI Punjab at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. The visiting side crushed the ‘hosts’ by 10 wickets in the game. Chasing a modest total of 88 to win, Virat Kohli and Parthiv Patel led the run chase with utmost ease to seal the game by 10 wickets in hand. The win was a much needed one for the RCB team.

While the victory did not help the cause of the RCB camp in terms of their position in the points table, it did manage to keep their hopes of qualifying for the playoffs alive. On the other hand, the defeat saw the Kings XI Punjab slump in to the bottom four of the points table. The RCB fans, who have been loyal throughout the season, were delighted to see their side register such a complete win.

Among the many fans that the team has, the name of Anushka Sharma stands at a unique place. The Bollywood diva, who is the wife of Virat Kohli, is never shy in showing her emotions for the game. This season, she has been spotted at the stadiums on multiple occasions cheering for the RCB team and her husband, Virat.

Soon after the Royal Challengers Bangalore beat the Kings XI Punjab, Anushka Sharma updated her Instagram story to express her delight over the end result of the game. Interestingly, earlier on the day, she had posted a picture with Virat’s name on her tshirt to show her support for RCB and Virat. She had captioned the picture, “Come on boys.”

Now, as soon as the Royal Challengers Bangalore won the game, Virat Kohli wasted very little time before getting back to his wife. Kohli took to the micro blogging site Twitter to thank the wishes of Anushka Sharma. Kohli responded to the tweet saying, “Yes my love. Indeed we arrived today.”

Here is how Virat Kohli responded to Anushka’s tweet:
