The Chinaman bowler was a part of last year’s auction and was picked by Rajasthan Royals (RR) at INR 60 lakhs from a base price of INR 20 lakhs. Unfortunately, the left-armer missed the entire season due to an injury. Albeit the spinner from Afghanistan hasn’t played much cricket in the 20-overs format, but his 34 wickets from the 24 matches show that he has the potential to take wickets at regular intervals.

Batsmen also find it tumultuous to score runs off his bowling and the same is evident from his T20 economy rate of 7.17. He represented the Nangarhar Leopards in the inaugural Afghanistan Premier League (APL) and went on to pick up 10 wickets in nine matches at an economy of seven. Earlier this year in January-February, Khan also played for Afghanistan in the U19 World Cup in New Zealand.
