Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli lost the toss for the ninth time in the team’s 12th match of the season. At the toss, when presenter Anjum Chopra was talking to the Delhi Capitals Captain Shreyas Iyer, Kohli was seen gesturing nine with his fingers towards the RCB camp, indicating the number of tosses he had lost. He also pumped his fist with a smile as RCB had gone on to win the last three matches despite losing the toss.

It was a must-win encounter for RCB to have any hopes of entering into the playoffs. But they fell short of the target by 16 runs after a brilliant half-century by Shreyas Iyer. RCB, along with Rajasthan Royals, stayed in the bottom half of the points table throughout the season.
