The clash between the two titans of IPL, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings provided a fitting finale. The action and drama involved in the game seemed straight out of a fairy tale. The fans from both the camps were going through a lot of emotions, as the players decided to leave them with a real cliffhanger. In the end, the luck smiled on the Rohit-led side and they won their 4th championship.

After six weeks of entertainment, the 12th edition of the biggest T20 carnival kept the spectators glued to their seats, and it is the exact reason why the audience adores it. Coincidentally the fate of the Premier League was decided just hours before the heart-stopping finish of IPL 2019. Like the cricketing fans, the football ones were also eagerly waiting for their champions on the final day of the 27th season of English Premier League. Eventually, Manchester City retained their title and won it for the 6th time by edging out Liverpool.

Here are the five MI players who are equivalent to Manchester City stars as every one of them was the vital cogs of their victorious campaign

1. Quinton De Kock – Sergio Aguero

The South African cricketer just finished his most successful tourney in IPL. He was given the opportunity of opening the innings, and he didn’t disappoint as he scored 529 runs in 16 ties. Quinton De Kock provided the Mumbai team with brisk starts and his strike rate of 131 proves it. The keeper-batsman was the highest run-getter for the franchise in this season, and that’s why he is similar to Sergio Aguero of Manchester City.

The Argentinian scored 21 goals in the season. Like De Kock, Aguero is also an attacking player and his contribution was vital for the side. Along with his batting, Quinton did excellent work behind the stumps which is similar to the 8 assists provided by the City’s striker. He scored a hat-trick against Chelsea at Etihad stadium and stamped his class which has a resemblance with De Kock’s knock of 81 in 52 balls against Rajasthan Royal at Wankhede.
