The cricketer from South Africa is a top-order batsman who has the experience of plying his trade in T20 leagues around the globe. In 2014, Colin Ingram signed a Kolpak deal, and since then he has been a compatible addition to most of the teams with his performances. The southpaw has played 236 T20s in which he has piled over 6000 runs with an average of 31 and a strike rate of 140. Ingram has been in good form, as he scored 334 runs in 11 games in the Pakistan Super League which was played earlier in the year.

As Delhi was looking out for a middle-order batsman with international experience, Colin Ingram was their pick in the IPL 2019 auction. Ingram was snapped at a hefty price of Rs 6.4 crores and he deserved it. The left-hander showed a lot of promise in his first game against Mumbai Indians (MI) scoring a 32 ball 47 but after that, he has not played a substantial knock. Even though the Shreyas Iyer-led team has qualified for the playoffs Colin has accumulated just 171 runs in 10 games which is below par from the seasoned campaigner.
