The current Windies T20I skipper is a superstar, as he has the ability to change the course of a game with his brute power hitting. Braithwaite has been playing slam-bang cricket in different parts of the world. The cricketer from Barbados is known for his finishing skills, and it was on show during the final of the 2016 T20 World Cup where he hit 4 consecutive sixes in the final over to win the title. He is a big match player, and it was proved during his knock of 39 of 22 balls against Chennai in the playoffs for Sunrisers in 2018 IPL.

Kolkata Knight Riders were looking for a fast bowling all-rounder in the auction, and the Caribbean player was fitting the role perfectly, and that’s why he was picked up for a bountiful amount of Rs 5 crores. Carlos Braithwaite was not part of the playing XI in the initial games, as there were other good performers in the line-up.

As the season went by, the Dinesh Karthik-led team struggled with its batting, and that’s when the big man was called up but he failed to deliver on both occasions. The Windies player scored 11 runs in 2 games, and he let down his team in two crucial encounters.
