David Warner is all set to make his comeback into the Indian Premier League (IPL). Bringing down curtains on all the suspense, the Australian opener has landed in Hyderabad for the upcoming season of the league. Warner has been one of the most reliable servants of the Sunrisers over the last few years.

He has been instrumental with the bat and inspirational with his leadership for the franchise. Under his leadership in 2016, the side managed to get its hands on the silverware for the first time. He was the one-man army for the team in that season where he scored 848 runs in 17 games at an average of 61 and strike rate of 151.

David Warner expected to strengthen SRH manifold

Furthermore, he was the winner of the ‘Orange Cap’ in the 2017 season and was miles ahead of the other batsmen. He tallied 641 runs in 14 matches of that season and was expected to play a huge role in 2018 as well. However, the unfortunate ball-tampering saga just before the start of the season kept him away from the tournament.

After serving his one-year ban, Warner will be back with the team this year. Even though he might not lead the team, he shares a great rapport with Kane Williamson. David Warner is expected to assist him with some of the responsibilities using all his experience. Moreover, on a personal front, the experienced Warner has got a huge challenge ahead of him.

He is still in the contention to be picked in Australia’s World Cup 2019 squad. He has got to prove his form and fitness in this league. The left-hander went to Dubai for a few days before the season begins. As a part of Recently, he and Steve Smith spent some time with the Australian team in UAE. Warner scored 4014 runs in the IPL thus far at a stunning pace. He only took 114 innings to get there.
