IPL 2019: Dwayne Bravo’s hamstring injury might rule him out of CSK’s next game
It wasn't an ideal day for the CSK at the Wankhede.

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) didn’t have an ideal day against the Mumbai Indians (MI). They lost the match by 37 runs as nothing went right for them in the chase and the home team bowled superbly to not give an edge to them in the encounter. However, more than the defeat, the Men in Yellow have other things to worry now. Their ace bowler Dwayne Bravo suffered a hamstring injury during the match and he might be ruled out of the next game.
Even MS Dhoni acknowledged his injury and highlighted the injury issues, the team is dealing with in the post-match presentation ceremony. “Bravo has a hamstring injury, we don’t have a few players, we already have some injuries, David Willey isn’t there, he has his own problems, Lungi Ngidi isn’t with us as well, we will have to look at the pitch and then decide on the right combination,” he said.
A bad day on the field
After opting to field first, the CSK did extremely well. They picked key wickets of the opposition to leave them reeling at 50/3 in the ninth over. But the duo of Suryakumar Yadav and Krunal Pandya repaired the innings for the home side. They added 62 runs for the fourth wicket and then came the duo of Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard.
Dwayne Bravo’s last over changed the game completely. After Shardul Thakur conceded 16 runs in the penultimate over, the Caribbean bowler went for 29 runs in the 20th over. He also bowled a no-ball which cost the CSK a lot in the end. CSK went for 45 runs in the last two overs and this is where the game went out of their hands.
They were never in the chase then. Only Kedar Jadhav batted well and scored a half-century but no one supported him out in the middle as they lost the game easily.
