The 8th match of the IPL 2019 will see the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) playing their first home game of the season at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. They will host the Rajasthan Royals (RR), who lost their first match to KXIP, owing to the Mandkading incident.

SRH, on the other hand, had the game against Kolkata Knight Riders in their grasp until the 17th over of the KKR chase, until Andre Russell came to the fore and helped his team make the required 50-odd runs to win the match in the final three overs. SRH Captain Bhuvneshwar Kumar was found lacking in plans and ideas to contain Russell in death overs and the team missed their regular captain.

However, in a huge boost to the SRH team and the fans, Kane Williamson will most likely be back in business against Rajasthan Royals, as he has recovered from his shoulder injury, suffered during the second Test against Bangladesh back home and will also be at the helm.

Who will Williamson replace?

The Sunrisers Hyderabad team management had decided to show faith in the New Zealander and announced that they will continue with Kane Williamson as captain after he led them to the finals in IPL 2018. This was done despite the return of the IPL 2016 winning former skipper David Warner back in the fold. Warner smashed 85 against KKR in his first match back from suspension, which caused him to miss the IPL 2018.

However, it remains to be seen who makes way for the skipper. At the moment, Shakib Al Hasan might be the man as he went for a lot of runs during his four-over spell and didn’t come to bat as well.
