Brimming with confidence after the thumping 5-wicket win over Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals (RR) will be looking to make the most of it against Delhi Capitals (DC) on Monday. The Royals started their journey under new skipper Steve Smith in fine fashion and will be looking to continue it. They, however, will have their task cut out against a Delhi side which is currently third in the points table with 6 wins from 10 games.

With just three wins from their opening nine games, the Royals could not afford a further slip up in the competition. Despite being one of the strongest and most-balanced sides on the paper, the inaugural winners haven’t been able to step up. The likes of Ajinkya Rahane, Jaydev Unadkat, Ben Stokes and even Smith have not managed to deliver as per expectations. What makes their task even tougher is the departure of Jos Buttler.

The in-form opener has left for England earlier than scheduled to attend the birth of his first child. With the likes of Stokes, Smith and Jofra Archer set to leave too in the coming days, the RR will be desperate to win as many games as possible in the presence of their big names.

Delhi, on the other hand, are just a handful of wins away from making it to the playoffs for the first time since 2012. With 4 wins from their last five games, The Shreyas Iyer-captained DC are high on confidence and will be looking to replicate their performance in the next game as well.

How will be the weather:

The crunch clash is unlikely to be interrupted by any natural phenomenon. According to AccuWeather, there is no prediction of rain.  However, there will be a cloud coverage of 31 per cent throughout the match. The humidity will be on the lower side and will hover between 16-23%. As far as the temperature is concerned, it will be around 35-degrees Celsius at the start of the game. It, will, however, come down to early 30s as the game wears on.
