MI got the better of CSK at the Chepauk in all their last four meetings at the venue.
Updated - Apr 25, 2019 9:44 pm
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) won their last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Chepauk and almost sealed a berth in the playoffs for this edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). MS Dhoni & Co. lost two games in a row but came out firing on all cylinders to thump the Orange Army at their home where they were unbeaten this season before that. The table-toppers will next play Mumbai Indians (MI) tomorrow.
On the contrary, Mumbai are placed third on the points table with six victories from 10 matches, however, defeating CSK in Chennai won’t be a cakewalk by any means. Nevertheless, having lost to MI in their previous meeting, the Super Kings would be well aware that Rohit Sharma’s men would come hard at them once again. In fact, CSK last defeated Mumbai at the Chepauk way back in April 2010.
The 44th game of the IPL between CSK and MI will be hosted by the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
The match starts at 08:00 PM local time (14:30 GMT).
The game will be live on Star Sports in India. (Live streaming on Hotstar).
According to Accuweather, the temperature will hover between the 30 and 31-degree Celsius from 8 pm until the end of the game. The humidity will be on the higher side with the numbers extending up to the 79 per cent mark. There will be a large amount of dew and yet again, the team batting second will have the advantage. There will be cloud cover, but it won’t convert into a downpour.

A couple of days ago, the Chepauk hosted its first game in two weeks and it turned out to be a belter. In the first few games, the track assisted the spinners and run-making was an arduous task. The deck in the next game is expected to be better for batting.
