The last time Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC) locked horns, while the latter was fighting for the top spot to the other that battle was for life. Delhi had thrashed the Royal Challengers by 4 wickets to condemn the three-time finalists to their sixth straight defeat of the season. The scenarios, however, have changed now. While Delhi, one of the only three teams to have never won the league, continue to remain in the top half of the table, the Challengers have turned their season around spectacularly.

Having won 4 of their last five games, RCB have revived their hopes of making it to the playoffs. With 4 wins from 11 games, they are still rooted at the bottom of the points table but have a mathematical chance of making it to the playoffs. Moreover, only one win separate them and fourth-placed Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Virat Kohli-led side knows that a win in the upcoming contest would very much keep them in contention for the next stage.

DC, on the other hand, are comfortably placed at third with seven wins from 11 games. One more win will secure their playoff spot and the Shreyas Iyer-led side will be desperate to get the task done against the Bangalore-based team. DC have not enjoyed much luck at home this season but having defeated Kings XI Punjab comfortably at Kotla in their previous outing, they would be confident of getting the task done against Royal Challengers.

How’s the weather expected to be:

There is not much to worry as far as weather is concerned. As per the weather forecast in AccuWeather, there is no prediction of rain. However, cloud coverage will be around 31% throughout the game. The humidity and dew are also unlikely to make much of a difference as they will be less than 20 and 10% respectively. The temperature will be around 40-degree Celsius at the start of the game and will drop down by 5-6 degree Celsius towards the end of the game.
