IPL 2019: MS Dhoni meets and greets a special fan at the Wankhede stadium

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) faced off for the first time at the Wankhede stadium and the home team managed to win the contest. May it be playing away or home, the CSK skipper MS Dhoni gets a roaring welcome at all the venues and it was no different in Mumbai on Wednesday. The fan following of the veteran is massive and one such fan went to watch the game.

A senior citizen watched the game with the placard in the hand which read, ” I am here only for Dhoni.” Interestingly, she waited with probably her granddaughter after the match to meet MS Dhoni and the match and security officials obliged to her request. The former India skipper came all the way from the dressing room to meet his special fan.

He had a brief chat with her where the senior lady was seen very happy after meeting for MS Dhoni and also gave blessings to him. Dhoni too spent some time with them before clicking a selfie with them.

Moreover, the girl who came with the senior lady also touched MS Dhoni’s feet before shaking hands with him. This shows how much Mahi is loved across the country and the man also obliged nicely to meet them after the match. The 37-year-old also signed a CSK jersey for them and went back to the dressing room smiling after meeting them.

As far as the match is concerned, it wasn’t a happy outing for MS Dhoni and Co. They were humbled by 37 runs by the Mumbai Indians (MI) on the day as the CSK lost their first game of the season. MI registered their second win in four matches and are looking a decent team now going forward in the season.
