Imran Tahir’s wild celebrations after bagging a wicket are unknown to no one. His style of celebrating a scalp is like no one else’s. There’s no doubt as to how much his captains respect him. Starting from Faf du Plessis, the South African captain, to Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni, Imran Tahir is a common favorite. MS Dhoni has now revealed how he feels about Tahir’s wicket celebrating style.

The CSK captain himself is known widely due to his calm composure at the field. Whereas the 40-year-old Imran Tahir, Chennai’s star legspinner, is full of emotions and over-excitement. The leggie, who is also CSK’s highest wicket-taker in IPL 2019, has earned the nickname “Parasakthi Express” due to his celebrating style. Whenever Tahir claims a wicket, he races from one end of the ground to another with his arms spread wide open and there’s no stopping him.

On Wednesday, as CSK defeated the Delhi Capitals by a huge margin of 80 runs, Tahir celebrated his four-wicket haul in his signature style, at Chepauk. Speaking about Tahir in the post-match presentation, CSK skipper MS Dhoni said that he’s not fit enough to keep up with the leggie’s powerful and super energetic celebration.

To quote MS Dhoni, who chuckled his way throughout this statement, “It’s great fun to watch Tahir celebrate. But we have made it very clear that me and Watson we are never coming to him once he gets a wicket because more often he runs to the other side.”

He further said that instead of running after Tahir to celebrate with him, they wait for Tahir to complete his round and come back where he started. “For me and Watson, it’s a bit difficult when you are not 100% fit. Why go over there and congratulate. The good thing is he finishes his lap and comes back to the same place. So that’s the time we say, ‘yeah, very well done..well bowled’ and we go back to our fielding positions,” Dhoni added.
