The IPL 2019 just began its journey a fortnight ago, and already the cricketing fraternity is craving for more action. Again the league has become the centre of attraction with its spellbinding and mesmerizing powers. Like every year this season is on its way to becoming a masterpiece, as old sorcerers and rookie warlocks have thrown new spells on the audience. Now as the league is entering into its third week, it is definitely going to get more enthralling in the coming days.

IPL is the biggest T20 league across the globe and it is evident from the talents involved in it. Here each team consists of nearly two dozen players and half of them are International guards of their countries. As the league is played over a tight schedule, most of the teams stick to their winning combinations and as a result, some players are robbed of their opportunity to play in this carnival. It is time for the franchise to test out these players who are warming the bench as they can add another dimension to the team.

The following are the benched players from each franchise who deserve a chance in IPL 2019:

1. Sam Billings (CSK)

Chennai Super Kings are the defending champions and they have shown their hunger again by winning 4 out of 5 ties. The franchise led by MS Dhoni never tinkers with the team combinations often. As the team is on a roll, CSK should hand an opportunity to England’s keeper-batsman Sam Billings for testing their bench strength. He is a limited-overs specialist for the three lions and have always been impressive with his inventive batting and powerful hitting.

Unlike last season, CSK are struggling with their opening pair, and it is where Sam can add value to this team as he has the experience of opening in the shortest format. The Kent wicket-keeper can also bat in the middle-order as he is a good player of spin and it was on show when he scored a crucial 56 off 23 balls against KKR last year.

Billings has been in good form as he scored 87 of 47 just in last month against WI. His athletic ability can be an added bonus for the CSK team which consist of various old legs.
