The encounter between the Delhi Capitals (DC) and the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) went down the wire at the Feroz Shah Kotla on Saturday. After the scores were tied, the home side won the match in the super over thanks to Kagiso Rabada. However, apart from that, another incident is ruling the internet which has left everyone surprised.

The video is going viral in which Rishabh Pant, the Capitals’ wicket-keeper, predicted the outcome of the ball even before it is bowled. The over was being bowled by Sandeep Lamichhane and it seemed as if it was a part of their plan to lure the batsman. However, Pant got it spot on as the batsman Robin Uthappa smashed a boundary according his prediction before the ball was bowled.

The incident took place during the fourth over of the KKR’s innings when the Delhi Capitals had their tails up with an early wicket. Uthappa was set to face his first ball of the match with Sandeep Lamichhane having the ball in his hand. Rishabh Pant, in the video, can be seen uplifting the spirit of his players during which he predicted the outcome only to be caught in the stump mic.

Yeh to waise bhi chauka hai

Rishabh Pant seemingly says, “yeh to waise bhi chauka hai” when Robin Uthappa was taking guard. Incidentally, Lamichhane bowled a brilliant spinning delivery and Uthappa came drove the ball on the front foot which raced away to the boundary. Well, this is an interesting case now as to how Pant predicted what will happen off the next delivery. It could’ve been definitely a plan or the wicket-keeper just wanted to get into the ears of the batsman on that occasion.

As far as the match is concerned, it turned out to be a nail biter, as the game was tied with Kuldeep Yadav defending 6 runs in the last over. Prithvi Shaw’s 99 had led DC to a brilliant chase of the 185-run target. In the Super Over, Kagiso Rabada defended 11 runs by clean bowling Andre Russell with a searing yorker and giving away just 7 runs.
