Many star names this edition have failed to live up to their reputation.

Last year’s purple cap winner, Andrew Tye’s slower deliveries and knuckle balls left many bamboozled. The precision to his execution was stand out last season and if only he was half as good this season, Kings XI Punjab would’ve been in a very different position on the table at this juncture.

Andrew Tye got to pay just four matches this season and picked up just two wickets. KXIP management has been a bit too experimental with their bowling line-up and that has halted Tye’s progress. He still has some games left in the tournament to prove his credentials and perhaps overshadow his underwhelming season.
