The left-arm orthodox bowler and a handy batsman from the Indian capital have been the talk of the town for both good and bad things in the recent past. He has raised many eyebrows when Delhi Capitals (DC) bought him for more than 8 Crore in one of the IPL auctions. Though he had a below-par season that year.

Negi was then bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for the 2017 edition of the IPL. He played a massive role in guiding his side to the tournament final taking 16 wickets in 12 matches in which he featured. As a result, Bangalore retained him for the 2018 season. He had a disastrous season that year playing only two matches in which he took only a single wicket.

But the shocker came afterwards in IPL 2019 player auction when Delhi bought Pawan Negi for 1 Crore, but RCB used their Right To Match (RTM) card to have him back in their squad. He had another horrendous season last time around taking only 3 wickets in 7 matches. With performances like these in the past couple of seasons, he should have been released.
