Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings will be locking horns in the match no. 41 of Indian Premier League (IPL). The last time they played against each other, CSK comfortably defeated MI, and thereafter, they have had a very forgettable season. Their batting has been exploited by the opposition bowlers on most of the occasions. Their bowling has been a tad better when compared to their batting but it still isn’t enough for them to get over the line.

Mumbai Indians are in the race to qualify in the top 2. It’s not just their batting that has shown the right intent and hunger but also their bowling and fielding that has done the same. Their team consists of match winners and will be looking to avenge their loss from the first match of this season.

Here are the players you can exclude from your Dream11 team for CSK vs MI game:

1.  Shane Watson (9 credits)

Shane Watson is a match-winner, no doubt. But we haven’t seen the Watson we saw in the finals of 2018 and 2019 edition and that’s possibly the reason why CSK is falling behind this season. He showed a glimpse of the vintage Watson, who was a nightmare to the bowlers, in the match against KXIP. From there on, he has failed to score big for his team. Hence, you can choose to exclude him from your Dream11 team.

2. Shardul Thakur (8.5 credits)

Shardul Thakur has been the pick of the bowlers for CSK. Though he has been successful in squeezing the flow of runs, he hasn’t been able to pick wickets for his captain like how other CSK bowlers have been doing. He is more like a death bowler who has a knack to control the flow of runs alone. With the firepower, MI have in their bowling arsenal, you can choose to miss him from your Dream11 team.

3. Trent Boult (8.5 credits)

Trent Boult has been brilliant with the new ball for MI. But he has been a touch expensive after the powerplay. He has picked 12 wickets from 9 matches and most of those scalps have come in the powerplay. So once the powerplay ends he’ll be up for runs as there won’t be anything on offer for him. Therefore, he’s our third player whom you can exclude from your Dream11 team.
