Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals are two teams which have had an interesting rivalry over the years, and we are sure to witness another sensational contest. RCB, after being disoriented in the initial two games, despite bagging a win, seemed to have gotten their best possible playing XI on the park in the last game against MI.

However, despite an impressive performance with the bat, their bowling was taken to the cleaners once again. They will be happy with Navdeep Saini’s performance in the Super Over but will surely expect a better overall performance from their bowlers. Rajasthan Royals, on the other hand, have their batting to be concerned about.

While they have a gun top three, they don’t seem to have a defined middle order. Not only is there a lot of inexperience, but a number of players seem to be batting out of position as well. They will also be concerned about their spin department, as their highest wicket taker from last season, Shreyas Gopal has picked up just one wicket from three games.

For you to be able to pick the perfect Dream11 team, here are three players you can afford to exclude for the RCB vs RR game:

1. Robin Uthappa (8.5 credits)

It won’t be an exaggeration to call Uthappa one of the best batsman in IPL history. He had a marvelous run with KKR from 2014-2019 but has looked extremely out of place this season. With just 16 runs in three games, and a wasted opportunity in the last game, Uthappa has struggled to get going this year. While he didn’t get enough opportunities in the first two games, he failed to make it count against KKR. With innumerable top-tier batsmen playing in this game, there is bound to be no place for Uthappa.

2. Jaydev Unadkat (8.5 credits)

The absence of enough quality, wicket taking pacers in this game might tempt you to go for Jaydev Unadkat, but it will be better to refrain from doing that. Unadkat has underperformed in the last couple of seasons and hasn’t got off to the best of starts this year either. He has picked up just one wicket in the 54 balls he has bowled this season. He has also conceded runs at 9.77 per over. Unadkat, despite being a good bowler, tends to overdo the slower delivery and with international stars in the opposition, that tactic is unlikely to work. Hence it would be better to go for other bowlers instead of Unadkat.

3. Washington Sundar (8 credits)

Washington Sundar, who was primarily used in the powerplay by Rising Supergiants, in 2017, was finally given that role by RCB in the last game. And he sure didn’t disappoint, giving away 12 runs in four overs and picking one wicket. However, when Sundar is used in the powerplay, he is used not as a wicket-taker, but as a run-preserver. He bowls stump to stump, without giving much room to the batsmen, but that also minimises his chances of taking a wicket. Hence this exclusion is strategic, keeping fantasy cricket in mind.
