The 42nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will see action between the Delhi Capitals and the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Saturday doubleheader at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. If there is one thing that has favoured the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) the most this year, it has been luck. Things have stopped happening for the KKR suddenly and they are coming into this game after registering the lowest total for any team in the history of IPL without being dismissed.

On the other hand, the Shreyas Iyer-led Delhi Capitals don’t have much to worry about. They have a never-ending list of positives this year, and the same is well-reflected in their position at the table, where they sit atop with 14 points from 10 games. However, they are coming in this encounter after a 5-wicket defeat against the KXIP and would want to set things straight returning to the winning ways.

For you to be able to pick the perfect Dream11 team, here are three players you must include for the KKR vs DC game:

Shikhar Dhawan (10.5 credits)

With the scores of 69*, 57, 101*, 106* in his last four games, Shikhar Dhawan has scored exactly half of the Capitals’ runs in the said period. Naming to himself an unprecedented record, the southpaw has slammed consecutive centuries in the IPL, although his 61-ball 106 went in vain the last game. One of the most free-flowing batsmen in the modern era, once Dhawan gets rolling, he becomes an impossible customer to deal with. With 465 runs at an average of 66.42, he is behind only KL Rahul in the race of Orange Cap.

Kagiso Rabada (9.5 credits)

Ferocious pace, accurate lengths, and the skill to swing the ball with ease: Kagiso Rabada is the perfect recipe for a lethal fast bowler. And no wonder he has been ruling the wicket-taking charts this year with his guile. Rabada has scalped 21 wickets at an average of 14.33. Not to forget, he bowls the majority of his overs in Powerplay, and an economy rate of 7.58 in 10 games despite that, speaks volumes about his discipline with the ball.

Shubman Gill (9.5 credits)

With 312 runs in 10 games at 34.66, Shubman Gill has been one of the most impressive batsmen in this year’s edition. A technically sound and expressive batsman, Gill has played some breathtaking knocks already. He has also displayed an ability to keep finding the gaps regularly. Gill, with his wide array of strokes and a good run of form behind him, will certainly be in contention to be one of the top performers of this game.
