Royal Challengers Bangalore will be up against Sunrisers Hyderabad in a huge match for both the teams. After starting out extremely well, RCB seem to be losing the plot at the fag end of the tournament. They have lost their last two games against CSK and MI and will be eager to get back to winning ways.
External results have almost confirmed they will qualify, but with the likes of Devdutt Padikkal in great form, and bowlers looking in good rhythm, RCB would want to keep things in their control and win this game. SRH have had a mixed bag this year. They have played excellent and mediocre cricket in equal measure.
They will, however, take heart from their last game, where they comfortably beat a top team in Delhi Capitals. The return to form of David Warner along with contributions from Wriddhiman Saha and the bowlers will give them the confidence of getting the better of RCB in this game. They will have to do that to have any chances of qualifying for the playoffs.
Here are 3 players you can use as multipliers for this all-important RCB vs SRH:
1. David Warner (10.5 credits)
David Warner hasn’t been at his aggressive best this IPL. Despite that, he has managed 436 runs. And in the last game, against one of the strongest bowling attacks- Delhi Capitals, Warner showed what he is capable of. He stroked his way to an aggressive 66 off just 34 balls and was looking good for a lot more.
When Warner plays aggressively, he looks a different player altogether. He will look to continue that form against RCB, a team he a scored a ton against last season. The small ground of Sharjah and pace on the ball from the RCB bowlers could be Warner’s perfect ally to go big.
2) Virat Kohli (10.5 credits)
Despite not looking fluent throughout the season, Virat Kohli has 424 runs to his name and will be looking to add a lot more in this crucial game. Kohli has played a couple of match winnings knocks this IPL, but with the standards, he sets for himself, he would have surely been looking at a lot more.
He will be extremely disappointed on missing out last game in a crucial match against MI. Virat has always stood up and taken responsibility in important games. SRH don’t have a very threatening bowling attack, and if Virat can get going in the initial few deliveries, a huge knock is on the cards.
3) Rashid Khan (9.5 credits)
After a slow start, Rashid Khan has been at his lethal best in the last few games. He was bowling exceedingly well in the initial few games too but wasn’t picking the wickets. In the last few matches, he has come back to wicket-taking ways and now has 17 scalps to his name.
Despite this being his fourth season of IPL, batsmen are yet to figure out how to play the spin king from Afghanistan. If he is able to establish himself, he is bound to invariably pick wickets. Rashid is the perfect multiplier option especially if SRH bowl second since while defending a total, Khan become extraordinarily dangerous.
