One has to feel bad for the Punjab-based franchise as they lost two close encounters in this season despite fighting hard. They are currently sitting at 7th position of the points table with just one win in their four games but if things had gone right for them, they could’ve won three out of four.

With KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal at the top, their top-order looks brutal but their middle-order is one of the things that is not doing well for them in the current season. Karun Nair, who is playing at No.3 for the franchise, is facing a lot of criticism due to his poor performance in the on-going season.

In the 4 matches he played in this season, Karun has scored only 16 runs at a strike rate of 114.28 and at an average of 8. With Mandeep Singh and Deepak Hooda sitting on the bench, Karun will be possibly dropped from the Playing XI in the near future.
