The Chennai-based franchise is currently having a tough time as the MS Dhoni-led team has won only one game in their four encounters of this season. CSK is the most experienced team in the league with the likes of MS Dhoni, Faf du Plessis and Deepak Chahar in their artillery. But they’ve failed to deliver until now as the team is struggling to get the touch back in all the three departments of the game.

Kedar Jadhav, the hero of Chennai Super Kings’ comeback match in 2018 after their two-year ban, failed to perform for the franchise after that match-winning knock. In 2019, he scored 162 runs at a rate of below 100 and didn’t bowl in that season.

Even in the current season, he has scored just 51 runs at a strike rate of 108.51 and at an average of 17. As CSK are currently looking for a winning combination, Kedar can be dropped from the Playing XI to give youngsters a chance to prove themselves.
