Despite being one of the best non-Asian spinners in the world, Adam Zampa has been far too inconsistent to be considered a part of the elite most spin bowlers. The Australian had previously represented the Rising Pune Supergiant is one of the three bowlers in the tournament history to have picked up 6 wickets in an innings.

Yet, he hasn’t done enough in the tournament or in recent times to claim a strong bid. Zampa has been struggling for form and with so many spinners already available in the Indian domestic circuit, the quality of a foreign spinner has to be outrageously high for him to stake a claim in the playing XI, being one of the four overseas cricketers.

As it stands, only the two Afghan spinners Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan have that talent in them to stake a claim in the XI. Zampa has been a part of the tournament and definitely is an experienced campaigner, but it seems highly unlikely that a team would want to spend INR 1.5 crore on him.
