The IPL Auction 2020 will take place this Thursday as the entire cricket universe is excited for the event. The fate of multiple global stars will be decided on 19th December 2019 in Kolkata as they will go under the hammer during the IPL Auction. Over the years, the fans have seen several bizarre things in the auction.

The cricket universe has witnessed the top international players going unsold while unknown players kick-starting a bidding war between the franchises. The likes of K. C. Cariappa, Varun Chakravarthy and Ishan Kishan are the best examples of this case. This year as well, a lot of uncapped talents will be a part of the auction.

Given how important it is to have a good bunch of uncapped stars, the franchises may enter a bidding war for the following 5 names:

Mumbai’s 17-year-old opening batsman, Yashasvi Jaiswal had grabbed the world’s attention during the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019. The left-handed batsman became the youngest player to smash a double hundred in 50-overs cricket as he played a knock of 203 runs against Jharkhand.

Besides, he had even struck a century versus Kerala in the preceding match. This shows that the Suriya-born player has the talent to play big knocks. Though he has played little T20 cricket, he can prove to be an asset in the IPL.

Given that he plays for Mumbai at the domestic level, Mumbai Indians may look to buy him and groom Jaiswal to become the next big thing in Indian cricket. Otherwise, he could even become a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise who need a solid Indian name in the batting department.
