IPL 2020: Full Schedule/Fixtures, Timings, Venues of Rajasthan Royals (RR)

Over the years, Rajasthan Royals (RR) have always been a side that tends to stay away from the limelight. They tend to go for bargain buys in the auctions and don’t spend big money on players. But that was before they were suspended. Since their return in 2018, they’ve changed big time. They have the star attraction and they are even splurging big money on certain players.

They have blown hot and cold since their return. Royals made it to the playoffs in the 2018 season but almost finished last in 2019. Thus, it wasn’t a surprise that they were one of the most active teams during the trade window and even the auctions. In fact, they bought as many as 11 players which were the most in this auction.

They filled up each spot and have a 25-member squad. Royals bought Tom Curran, Andrew Tye and Oshane Thomas to strengthen their pace attack while they bought in a few exciting young Under-19 stars – Yashasvi Jaiswal, Karthik Tyagi and Akash Singh. They haven’t tasted success since the inaugural season and will be in search for their second IPL title.

Rajasthan Royals will kickstart their IPL 2020 campaign against CSK

RR will be one of the last teams to kickstart their campaign in the 13th season of the IPL. They face Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in an away fixture as they travel south to Chennai and then have a couple of back to back games next but the venue is yet to be confirmed (it is either Jaipur or Guwahati). They host Delhi Capitals (DC) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in those two games which are slated to be played on 5th and 9th of April respectively.

The inaugural IPL champions have a string of away and home fixtures after that. They have three successive away games as they travel to Hyderabad, Mumbai and Bengaluru before three back to back games in Jaipur. They then travel back and forth from Jaipur to finish the league stages. Their final league stage game is on the 13th of May in Delhi but they play their last home game in Jaipur on the 11th of May against Mumbai Indians (MI).
