Rajasthan Royals finally put a break to their losing streak as they got away with a five-wicket win against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Dubai. David Warner (48) and Manish Pandey (54) built the SRH inning with a 73-run partnership in ten overs before they scored 62 runs in the final five including 35 in the last 2.2 overs.
Chasing 159 to win, the Royals lost their overseas top three inside five overs and were reduced to 78/5 by the 12th over. The duo of Riyan Parag (42*) and Rahul Tewatia (45*) saw through a couple of overs before taking their team over the winning line when they needed 60 from last 25 deliveries.

Parag-Tewatia script history:
4 – Riyan Parag and Rahul Tewatia, in SRH vs RR, became only the 4th pair in IPL history to score 40+ runs in the same inning while batting at No.6 or lower position.
MS Dhoni-Albie Morkel for CSK in 2010 against Deccan Chargers, and Kagiso Rabada-Chris Morris for DD in 2017 against MI had 40+ scores at No.6 or lower during unsuccessful chases while Steve Smith and James Faulkner did it during a successful chase against RCB in 2014.
A record stand to win:
85* – The unbeaten 85-run partnership between Rahul Tewatia and Riyan Parag in SRH vs RR is now the joint highest partnership in the IPL for the Rajasthan Royals for 6th or a lower wicket. The duo of Steve Smith and James Faulkner also added an unbeaten 85-run stand during a successful chase against RCB in 2014.
85* – The 85-run stand between Parag and Tewatia is also joint 3rd highest unbeaten stand in a successful IPL chase for 6th or a lower wicket. MI’s Kieron Pollard and Ambati Rayudu added 122* for the 6th wicket against RCB in 2012 while RCB’s AB de Villiers and Iqbal Abdulla put on 91* for 7th wicket in the 2016 Qualifier against Gujarat Lions.
Rashid on the top of LBWs list:
18 – Rashid Khan now has 18 wickets in the IPL coming through LBW which are the most for any bowler in the league. Rashid went past Sunil Narine’s 17 LBW wickets in the IPL by dismissing Robin Uthappa in SRH vs RR. Rashid already holds the record for the most T20 wickets via LBW with 65 scalps.
Milestones for Samson and Pandey:
100 – The SRH vs RR game was the 100th appearance for Sanju Samson in the Indian Premier League. Samson has played a total of 78 matches in the league for Rajasthan Royals only.
3045 – Manish Pandey completed 3000 runs in the IPL when he got to his individual score of nine in SRH vs RR. Pandey is now the 16th player and the 12th Indian to aggregate 3000 runs in the IPL.
Buttler’s misery against SRH:
9.14 – Jos Buttler has a batting average of 9.14 in the IPL against Sunrisers Hyderabad; the lowest for him against any opponent. Buttler scored 64 runs in seven matches against SRH with a best score of 16 which came on Sunday.
Rashid improves his record against Robin:
2 – Robin Uthappa now has been dismissed twice in his last three meetings in the IPL against Rashid Khan. The Karnataka-born scored only six runs in ten balls in those three meetings.
Uthappa smashed 58 runs off 31 deliveries in his first three meetings against Rashid with eight boundaries including four maximums.
