Varun Chakravarthy, who was brought into the attack in the 12th over, claimed a 5-wicket haul to seal a huge win for KKR.

Here are all the statistical highlights from Kolkata Knight Riders’ big 59-run win during KKR vs DC:

Delhi’s losing streak in Abu Dhabi:

0/5 – Delhi Capitals have lost all the three matches they played in Abu Dhabi during the ongoing edition. The Delhi franchise, Delhi Daredevils also lost both the game they played in Abu Dhabi during the 2014 edition.

A record spell from Varun:

2 – Varun Chakravarthy, in KKR vs DC, became only the 2nd player in the IPL to claim a 5-wicket haul for the Kolkata Knight Riders. Sunil Narine was the first to do so claiming 5/19 in the 2012 edition against Kings XI Punjab.

2Varun Chakravarthy is only the 2nd player to claim a 5-wicket haul in the IPL played outside of India. Anil Kumble took 5/5 in the 2009 edition hosted by South Africa for RCB against Rajasthan Royals.

5/20 – Chakravarthy’s bowling figures of 5/20 during KKR vs DC are also the 2nd best by any player in the IPL against the Delhi franchise. MI’s Lasith Malinga registered figures of 5/13 in the 2011 season game against the Delhi Daredevils.

4 – Varun became only the 4th leg-spinner in the IPL to pick a 5-wicket haul. Amit Mishra (5/17 for DD vs DEC in 2008), Anil Kumble (5/5 for RCB vs RR in 2009) and Adam Zampa (6/19 for RPS vs SRH in 2016) are the other leg-spinners with an IPL 5-fer.

5/20 – Varun Chakravarthy also became just the 2nd uncapped player in the history of IPL to bag a 5-wicket haul. Ankit Rajpoot took 5/14 in the 2018 edition for KXIP against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

115 – The 115-run partnership between Nitish Rana and Sunil Narine during KKR vs DC is now the highest by any pair for the 4th wicket in IPL against Delhi Daredevils/Capitals and also the 2nd highest 4th wicket stand for Kolkata Knight Riders. Robin Uthappa and Shakib Al Hasan added 121 in the 2014 edition against RCB for the 4th wicket.

Pant @ 100 sixes:

100 – The lone six that Rishabh Pant struck during KKR vs DC was his 100th in the IPL. Pant, thus became the first player to hit 100 sixes in the IPL for the Delhi franchise. Overall, the southpaw is the 22nd player to smash as many as 100 sixes in the IPL history.
