The entire shebang around the much-awaited Indian Premier League is set to unfold in just three days. The two giants of the league, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings are looking eager to steal glory in the season opener. While MI flagged off their outdoor session well in time, the Chennai had to delay it owing to the spread of COVID-19 in their contingent.

The franchises and related authorities are leaving no stone unturned to make the IPL festival one exciting event. Adding to fan’s excitement, the Rohit Sharma-led franchise has introduced an amazing feature. They have revealed that they are now on Whatsapp, and people can connect to them on 7977012345. Fans can get all insights into their favourite players and the latest happenings through the above mentioned no with ‘Mumbai Indians buddy’.

The MI took to their Twitter to make the mega announcement and wrote– “Paltan, now you can get your favourite team’s updates even on WhatsApp. To initiate a conversation with #MIBuddy, head to https://wa.me/917977012345?text=Hi… or just send a ‘Hi’ on 7977012345 #OneFamily #MumbaiIndians #MI #Dream11IPL @surya_14kumar”

Here’s the tweet by Mumbai Indians:

Mumbai Indians to miss Lasith Malinga in this IPL edition

As per BCCI’s rule over the years, the defending champions and runners up of pervious year lock horns in the season finale. The Rohit Sharma’s men will take against MS Dhoni and company on 19th September at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The Yellow Army would be walking with fire in their heart to avenge last year’s trauma, where MI registered a victory over the Chennai lot by just one run.

Both the teams are walking firmly after facing some major blows ahead of IPL 2020. Mumbai will be putting up their show in absence of star bowler Lasith Malinga, who pulled out of the season citing personal reasons. Speedster James Pattinson is all set to fill in his shoes.

CSK also had its rough phase when 13 members of their contingent tested positive, and they had to delay their outdoor sessions. Their miseries worsened when star player Suresh Raina and veteran Harbhajan Singh decided to pull out of IPL 2020 ahead of family commitments.
