Qualifier two of the Indian Premier League went live from Abu Dhabi between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals. Both SRH and DC tried, by hook or by crook, to make their way through finals, but it was Delhi’s day in the end. DC clinched the game by 17 runs. Batting first, DC posted huge 189 runs on the board where Marcus Stonis (38 off 27) and Shikhar Dhawan (78 off 50) flagged off the team’s innings in the most impressive style.

Stonis was named as the player of the match as he helped Delhi with his all-round brilliance. The rest of the job was done for DC by Shimron Hetmyer perfectly, who smashed 42* off 22 balls. Rashid Khan was not at his usual best but still maintained a decent economy by picking one wicket for SRH.

Kagiso Rabada did the job with ball for DC again

Chasing the massive target on a crucial night, skipper David Warner failed to save his team with the bat. Only Kane Williamson (67 off 45) and young Abdul Samad (33 off 16) carried the intent to fetch some significant runs for SRH. However, their efforts weren’t enough. Kagiso Rabada came up with his usual class and named a marvellous four-wicket haul on his name. Stoinis shone in the bowling zone too, as he picked three wickets to keep sailing DC’s boat.

Who has Orange and Purple Cap in IPL 2020?

Despite Punjab being out of the tournament, KL Rahul keeps possession of the Orange Cap, with huge 670 runs in his bag. He is followed by Delhi’s ace batsman Shikhar Dhawan, who has 603 runs in his bag. The 3rd and 4th slots are held by David Warner and Ishan Kishan in the race for Orange Cap.

Purple Cap is back again with Delhi’s star pacer Kagiso Rabada, who has 29 wickets under his belt. Next in line is Mumbai’s deadly pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who has 27 wickets. Trent Boult has 22 wickets in his bag while Yuzvendra Chahal has 21 wickets under his belt. Rashid Khan, Jofra Archer, Mohammed Shami, Anrich Nortje have picked 20 wickets each in IPL 2020. The finals will take place between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians on Tuesday.
