The seventh game of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 will see Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals locking horns against each other at the Wankhede Stadium. RR and DC have started their campaign in the competition in contrasting manners. DC beat Chennai Super Kings by 7 wickets in their first game of the competition.
Chasing 189, the last year’s beaten finalists chased down the total with 8 balls remaining thanks to fifties from Shikhar Dhawan (85) and Prithvi Shaw (72). RR, on the other hand, lost their first game by 4 runs against Punjab Kings. Chasing 222, RR put up a good show thanks to their skipper Sanju Samson’s (119) century but eventually fell short by 4 runs.
Here are the players whom you can make C or VC in Dream11 Fantasy for RR vs DC game:
Jos Buttler
With Ben Stokes out of the tournament with an injury, the onus will be on Jos Buttler to lead Royals’ charge with the bat. In Stokes’ absence, Buttler is likely to be promoted as an opener. The hard-hitting batsman has proved his class as an opener in T20Is and the Royals would be hoping he hits the ground running at the top of the order in the upcoming game.
Buttler has been in good form too in recent times. During the five-match T20I series against India, he scored 2 fifties and also looked in good touch during his 13-ball 25 runs knock against Punjab Kings in the previous game.
Prithvi Shaw
Prithvi Shaw has hit the ground running in IPL 2021. The young opener had faced severe criticism since flopping in the last edition of the IPL and the tour of Australia. But he has looked in stunning form since the onset of the year. Shaw impressed in the domestic circuit and has started the IPL in the same manner.
In the previous game against CSK, he slammed 72 off just 38 balls with the help of 9 fours and 3 sixes. With form on his side, Shaw will be looking to make the most of it against the Royals.
Rishabh Pant
Since the start of this year, Rishabh Pant has been in brilliant form with the bat. The wicketkeeper-batsman impressed during the Test series against Australia and England before scoring 2 fifties in as many ODIs against the latter.
Pant will be hoping that his form continues in IPL 2021 too. In the previous game, which was his first as captain, he did not have much to do with the bat. He walked out when the game was almost done and dusted and remained unbeaten on 15.
