Another very good option for the BCCI to finish the IPL will be in June this year. However, this will need some doing as the World Test Championship (WTC) is set to be played between India and New Zealand from June 18. BCCI will have to consult the ICC and convince them to postpone the final to maybe July.

Problems don’t end here. Pakistan Super League (PSL) has identified a window from June 1 to June 20 to finish the tournament which was postponed due to COVID outbreak inside in the bubble in February. However, IPL can still go ahead as not many overseas players are in common among IPL and PSL. The players who have been picked in both the tournaments can be given an options to choose which competition they are willing to play.

But again, this will need a proper co-ordination of the BCCI with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) as well and then agree on some terms. Most importantly, the IPL can be shifted to the UAE where the last season was played successfully. After fulfilling all conditions, IPL can safely resume in June in a new bubble in the UAE.
