The Indian Premier League (IPL) has been the perfect place for the youngsters to grab attention with their talent. As its timeline speaks, ‘Where talent meets opportunity’, there are multiple players who made full use of the conditions and made it to the national squad. Talk about the Pandya brothers, Jasprit Bumrah, and many more to name, they have made the nation proud in the international arena.

Well, the thirteenth edition of the IPL was full of drama. Multiple occasions of super overs, match-changing knocks, match-changing spells, and unbelievable catches ensured that people enjoyed their time with the IPL. Adding on, the IPL was a bright spot during the time of darkness of the pandemic. With every possible precaution, the teams were successful in ensuring the safety of the players.

Unfortunately, the level of competition has been increasing every season. Experienced players are struggling to make a comeback and the inexperienced ones are scoring big in this tournament. Well, it is the IPL and unpredictability is its second name.

Let us have a look at the 5 domestic star players who didn’t get a bid in IPL 2021 Auction:

Gurkeerat Singh is a hard-hitting batsman who can bowl part-time spin. In the domestic circuit, he has played in over 86 matches and averages 48.15 with the bat. Adding on, in domestic T20 tournaments, he has represented his home side for 113 matches. In the shortest format, he has the highest score of 93*. A strike rate of 123.74 is decent for a middle-order batsman.

Well, Singh can bowl some part-time off-spin too! In his List A career, he has taken over 32 wickets with the best bowling figures of 5/29. Talking about the domestic T20 performances, he has an economy rate of 7.22, which is considered good for a part-time spinner.

However, the domestic stalwart has been unable to find any form in the toughest T20 format. In his IPL career, he has scored 511 runs with a strike-rate of 121.09. Adding on, his fielding ability is spectacular, but he was unable to grab an IPL contract this time. Therefore, he makes it to this list!
